NET Patient Network officially launched its website at a joint event with the NCCP in St. Vincent's Hospital on June 6th. The NCCP announced the appoinment of Prof. Dermot O'Toole as National Clinical Lead of the Irish Neuroendocrine Tumour Group. The event was videotaped and will be made available online shortly. This was a great day for NET patients in Ireland and we look forward to providing a strong patient input into the development of a national structure.

The NCCP have appointed Prof. Dermot O'Toole as National Clinical Lead of the Irish Neuroendocrine Tumour Group as part of their national strategy for NETs treatment in Ireland. Professor O'Toole will lead a project to develop a National Programme for Neuroendocrine Tumours involving the designated cancer centres in Dublin, Cork and Galway.  This is a great step forward for NETs treatment in Ireland and the beginning of trying to establish a Centre of Excellence for NETs.
